About the Event
23 Nisan Ulusal Egemenlik ve Çocuk Bayramı is one of the most meaningful national holidays in Turkey.
It commemorates the founding of the Turkish Grand National Assembly in 1920 and celebrates children as the future of the nation. Schools and communities organize performances, cultural activities, and joyful gatherings where children take center stage — singing, acting, dancing, and representing hope for tomorrow.
This year, we’re celebrating together with the Boston Turkish community — and our kids will perform “Ali Baba Had a Farm!” We are excited to partner with the Orhan Gunduz Memorial School in Boston to celebrate 23 Nisan — National Sovereignty & Children’s Day — a joyful holiday honoring children and their role in shaping the future.
Our children will perform “Ali Baba Had a Farm,” and families will enjoy a full day of cultural celebration, exploration, and fun!
